raised £22 Million of private equity to date from several blue
chip investors:
Goldman
Sachs: Goldman Sachs is a leading investment bank, founded
in 1869 with annual worldwide turnover of $46 Billion. As part of
its Environmental Policy Framework, Goldman Sachs committed in 2006
to make available up to $1 Billion for investments in renewable energy
and energy efficiency projects. By the end of 2007, it had surpassed
this goal and had invested over US $2 Billion in alternative energy
projects in the US, Europe and Asia.
Fidelity
International: Fidelity International is one of the world’s
largest asset management businesses managing assets worth more than
US $260 Billion around the world with offices in 27 countries.
Impax
Environmental: Impax is a specialist environmental investor.
Founded in 1994, Impax invests only in “clean technology”
for energy, water and waste and has assets under management of over
US $2 Billion.
Ailsa3
Ventures: Ailsa3 is a UK venture capital fund that invests
in innovative environmental businesses. Other investments include
Credential Environmental, the UK’s market leader for recycling
of automotive wastes such as tyres and brake fluids.
